Monterey.Salinas Transit District, (MST), provides bus service within Monterey County in California. MST serves a 280 square-mile area of Monterey County and Southern Santa Cruz County, with services extended to Paso Robles, Big Sur, Watsonville and San Jose. The district succeeds Monterey-Salinas Transit Joint Powers Agency formed in 1981 when the City of Salinas joined the Monterey Peninsula Transit Joint Powers Agency which was formed in 1972. . MST's 58 routes are served by a fleet of 122 buses serving over 4 Million customers yearly.
