Notes: The Orion I was a high floor transit bus available in 30, 35 and 40-foot lengths. It was the first bus produced by Orion (then called Ontario Bus Industries) designed to compete with the New Flyer D40 and GM Classic which were both available at the same time. Production continued up until 1993, after which transit agencies began to look for 102" wide buses, such as the Orion V. The Orion I was also produced in the United States from 1981 under the Bus Industries of America umbrella after the license of the bus built under the Transportation Manufacturing Corporation (built as the TMC T-30 CityCruiser from 1979) expired.
