  • Notes: The Motor Coach Industries MC-8, also known as the Crusader, was a 40-foot intercity motorcoach produced from 1973 to 1978 and was the successor to the MC-7. The MC-8 featured an enlarged windshield with a destination sign at the top right side. Its appearance is more squared than the MC-7, and its stepped roofline is less prominent. To increase production space for Greyhound, MCI established Transportation Manufacturing Corporation in Roswell, New Mexico. Together with MCI's facilities in Manitoba and North Dakota, a total of 4,475 MC-8 coaches were produced. From 1974 to 1977, MCI produced 29 right-hand drive MC-8 coaches for Ansett Pioneer of Australia. In 1978, they produced 50 MC-8 coaches for new freeway express service in Taiwan.
