The New York City Transit (NYCT) has begun the bid process for 50 Low-Floor 40-Foot Clean Diesel Buses & 45 Low-Floor 40-Foot All Electric Buses. The bids call for responses from qualified bus manufacturers on May 7th. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will pay out 80% of the cost on both of these contracts while the MTA pays 20%.
