Arlington Transit, or ART, is a local bus system provided by Arlington County, Virginia. ART carries over 10,000 passengers per weekday as it supplements Metrobus with cross-County routes as well as neighborhood connections to Metrorail, Virginia Railway Express, and other local bus systems. ART routes also serve the Shirlington Bus Station during morning and evening peak periods. ART is environmentally friendly, operating on clean-burning compressed natural gas (CNG) and all buses are fully ADA accessible with wheelchair ramps and priority seating. Since inception, ART has operated 28 New Flyer-built & 52 NABI-built buses.
