The Regional Transportation District, more commonly referred to as RTD, provides public transportation in eight counties including all of Boulder, Broomfield, Denver and Jefferson counties, parts of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, and a small portion of Weld County. RTD currently operates bus, rail, shuttles, ADA paratransit services, demand responsive services like FlexRide, special event services, vanpools that has a service area of 2,337 square miles. Since 1982, the RTD has operated 89 M*A*N-built and 323 NEOPLAN-built buses.
